Privacy policy

DrumThings collects no data.

Effective October 29, 2026.

The short version
  • No account, no sign-up, no ads, no analytics and no tracking.
  • Your charts, books, clips, setlists, audio and settings stay on your iPad and in your own iCloud account. We cannot see them.
  • Tips are handled by Apple. We never see your payment details.
  • If you email us, we use your message only to reply.

Who we are

DrumThings is an iPad app made by Dylan Jenkins, an independent developer ("we", "us"). If you have any question about this policy, email [email protected].

What the app stores, and where

Everything you create or import in DrumThings is stored in two places, both under your control:

DrumThings does not run its own servers and does not send your content anywhere else.

What we collect

Nothing. The app contains no analytics, advertising, crash-reporting or tracking code, and no third-party SDKs. We do not collect identifiers, location, contacts, usage data or diagnostics. On the App Store, DrumThings is listed as "Data Not Collected".

Apple may share anonymous crash reports and usage statistics with developers if you have chosen to share them in your iPad's settings (Settings › Privacy & Security › Analytics & Improvements). That choice is yours and is controlled by Apple.

Tips

The tip jar uses Apple's In-App Purchase. Apple processes the payment. We receive no name, email address or payment details, only Apple's standard sales reports, which do not identify you. Refunds are handled by Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com.

Emailing us

If you contact us at [email protected], we receive your email address and whatever you choose to write. We use it only to answer you, never share or sell it, and delete it on request.

Links to other sites

The app links to a few websites, such as the author of the included book and this site. Those open in your browser, and their own privacy policies apply.

This website

drumthings.app uses no cookies, analytics or trackers, and its fonts are served from this site. It is hosted by Netlify, which, like any web host, processes standard request information such as your IP address to deliver the pages and keep the service secure. See Netlify's privacy policy.

Children

DrumThings collects no personal information from anyone, including children under 13.

Your choices and rights

Because we hold no personal data from the app, there is nothing for us to access, correct or delete. You control your own data:

If you have emailed us and want that correspondence deleted, ask at [email protected].

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, we will update this page and its effective date. If DrumThings ever starts collecting data, we will say so here and in the app's App Store privacy details before it does.
